What is an M3U playlist and what does it contain?+
An M3U file (or M3U8) is a plain text file that contains a list of media stream URLs — in IPTV, this means live TV channels, VOD movies and series. Each entry includes the stream URL, channel name, group (category), EPG ID and logo. Your IPTV provider gives you an M3U URL that your app uses to load all your channels automatically.
Why is my M3U URL not working?+
Common reasons include: your subscription has expired (most common), the server is temporarily down, your internet is blocking IPTV traffic, you have typed the credentials incorrectly, or the URL format is wrong. A valid M3U URL that loads channels but won't play usually means one of the following: your internet speed is too slow for the quality being streamed, your ISP is throttling IPTV traffic (try a VPN), the specific channel's stream source is temporarily down, or your IPTV app has a compatibility issue. What's the difference between M3U and Xtream Codes login?+
An M3U link is a direct URL to a playlist file. Xtream Codes is a login system (server URL + username + password) used by most modern IPTV apps (IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate etc.).
